Travel has been in my blood from a young age, inspired by my adventurous parents who took me on journeys to America, Africa and Europe each summer while I was growing up. That early exposure to the world sparked a lifelong passion for exploration. At eighteen, I embarked on my own grand adventure—a year-long overland journey from London to Nepal, weaving through Europe, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, and Nepal. That experience solidified my love for immersive, off-the-beaten-path travel. I later worked in Malaysia and Australia before returning to England, my sights set on even more adventure. For years, I dedicated every summer to exploring the world, working tirelessly to fund trips to places as far-flung as Namibia, Kenya, and Thailand. I also spent three years living and working in India, allowing me to travel extensively across the country and experience its vibrant diversity firsthand. Now, with a young family, my adventures have taken a slightly different form—but the call of the open road remains strong. Every year, I carve out two weeks to hit the road on my Harley Davidson, accompanied by my loyal Boston Terrier, Ernie. Whether it’s winding through the Alps or soaking up the sun in Spain, adventure is never far away. My journey has given me a deep understanding of what makes travel truly special—the thrill of discovery, the connections we make, and the stories we bring home. It’s this passion and experience that I bring to my travel business, helping others craft unforgettable journeys of their own.
What do you like most about working in the travel industry?
If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be "variety." Working in the travel industry means the world is truly your oyster. Every year, I meet people planning trips to countless destinations, each with their own unique reasons for traveling. Holidays are literally the nation's favourite conversation (after the weather!) I love listening to people’s travel dreams and encouraging them to take the leap, whether it’s for health, adventure, relaxation, or exploration; from beaches to mountains, desert to oceans; Europe to Asia, Africa to America; the possibilities are endless.
Speciality Areas
My specialty lies in having a well-rounded and passionate knowledge of travel (see what I did there!). But if I had to choose one country I can talk about more than any other, it would be India. It’s a place everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime.
My ideal customer would call me up with a bold challenge—like travelling the world in 180 days using only rail and ocean. The more complex the itinerary, the more value I can bring! When it comes to destinations, Arabia is in high demand right now, with Oman standing out in particular. The Arab states are investing heavily in tourism, and my advice is to visit sooner rather than later—before the crowds inevitably follow. Plus, with winter temperatures around 25°C and a flight time of under seven hours, it’s an easy escape to warmth and adventure.
My Favourite Destination
This is a tough one because, for me, the essence of travel is variety—I rarely visit the same place twice. My advice to those who are still active and adventurous is to experience as many different countries and cultures as possible. Just like finding your favourite restaurant, discovering your ultimate travel destination means sampling them all!
